Artists Unite to Restore 'Bridge Over Barriers': One of Utah’s Largest Public Art Projects Revitalizes Fairpark Neighborhood

Brolly Arts, in close collaboration with NeighborWorks Salt Lake and Salt Lake City Public Art, led a team of Fairpark neighborhood artists, Jessie Thomas, Matt Monsoon and Brooklyn Ottens, to restore, conserve and renovate the murals at 300 North 700 West I-15 underpass known as the Bridge Over Barriers (BOB) project. This is one of Utah’s largest public art projects. Amy MacDonald, Founder and Director of Brolly Arts, along with well known artists such as Lily Yeh, Jimmy Lucero, Ruby Chacon contributed to the creation of the BOB that began as an idea to bridge divided communities in 2005.
